A workshop for everyone with a love of learning how to move their body with joy and ease.
What is pelvic stability? In this Franklin Method workshop, you will experience for yourself how the internal joints of the pelvis move to stabilise you with every step you take.
Pilates, Yoga & Dance Practitioners will gain an advanced understanding of how to cue movement within the pelvis to achieve maximum efficiency in their clients. Movement enthusiasts will gain a clear personal understanding of where and how to place their attention to achieve balance and ease of motion in their pelvis, back and hips.
Here’s the 3 part journey we’ll be taking you on:
Sit, Stand, JUMP.
You’ll be guided through where and how to effectively find the joints of your pelvis, and what it feels like to move them with ease. We’ll parallel this to the consistent everyday movement of sitting and standing (you’re doing it all day, may as well learn how to do it well!) and finally how to use your pelvis to power into jumping.
Walk, Run, LEAP.
We’ll continue to advance your understanding of pelvic function by guiding you through how the pelvis is designed to move; when the legs are moving in opposing directions. We’ll then take some time to workshop all the different ways this information parallels to your daily life, whether you’re a dancer, a runner, a yogi or a pilates lover.
Self-Talk and the Power of Language.
How we use our words both in our own head, and when talking to others, has a powerful impact on ourselves and the people around us. We’ll conclude the workshop with layering in a psychological understanding of how the words we choose to use shape out movement experience.
This workshop is a mind and body experience. Enjoy walking out the door with a happy mind and a happy pelvis 🙂
