Students at the JOKSOD will enjoy this workshop as part of their Summer School intensive, staff will also be welcome to join in. Students will be guided through a personal experience of how thoughts, words and images impact movement, and how to use this knowledge to improve their dance performance in an instant.
Attention will then be directed towards the pelvis and hips, where the bone rhythm of pelvic movement will be practiced using anatomically correct imagery. Students will leave with a clear understanding of how to achieve increased hip joint strength, endurance and flexibility while performing their plie.
